Mole Man

The 5th of 6 sketch cards that were rejected for a recently released trading card project.
This was rejected because Marvel no longer licenses just about any character affiliated with the Fantastic Four. We were _not_ given this restriction for this project, but the person at Marvel who edited my cards seemingly didn’t keep that in mind or by the time mine were checked the new rule was in place…

Avengers Assemble - Mole Man

The 41st of 51 sketch cards done for the Avengers Assemble trading card series by Upper Deck.

Remember that issue (Avengers #40) where Namor and the Avengers were fighting over the Cosmic Cube, then it falls into a crack in the ground and lands at Mole Man’s feet and then he tosses it away thinking it’s just a toy?
You don’t?
Well, it’s a good thing I just summed it up for you then.
A great ending to a comic; 3 panels out of nowhere, wrapping up the story yet leaving an opening for a new one. Fun stuff.
Comics aint what they used to be...
